You can always do better.

Do you believe you can always do better? You must. If you're not growing, you're dying. The nature of things it to trend towards decay. All flat lines will fall. You're a salesperson, so of course you believe you can do better. You left your previous job to start selling cars because you believed it was a better opportunity. So you're already the kind of person that's willing to shake up things in you life to try to do better. Let's go!
Reflection and Discussion:
Have you ever had an experience where a success was not celebrated? How does that feel?
We all try to figure out what went wrong. Do you ever try to break down (after the fact) all the reason why something went RIGHT? Do it now - think of a recent success (a deal, maybe), and think back through all the places where it could have gone wrong, and what made it go right instead.
What do you think is the upper limit of your capability? Do you know the world record for an individual selling cars? Look it up. Between now and the time when you "retire from retail," is there enough room between your current performance and the world record, to improve EVERY MONTH in some way?
Besides selling more cars, what other things could you measure, and work to improve? What kinds of skills, habits, attitudes, and actions will help you continually improve?
